This book presents a critical understanding of two major types of widespread forms of infectious diseases, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The social, economic, cultural and political determinants affecting the health and well being of populations around the world, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa, in relation to tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS are addressed.
