The rapid increase in world's energy use is one of the main concerns of today's world. This energy use has high environmental impacts such as depletion of ozone layer, global warming, climate change etc. This research has taken a step forward towards solving these problems. The rapid increase in world's energy use is one of the main concerns of today's world. This energy use has high environmental impacts such as depletion of ozone layer, global warming, climate change etc. This research has taken a step forward towards solving these problems. This research focuses on developing a control strategy for an open plan office building located in Glasgow (Scotland). The building has been investigated using a dynamic thermal simulation tool known as Integrated Environmental Solution (IES). Different simulations were performed to get an optimum control strategy for hybrid ventilation system. The criteria that was used to select best control strategy was based on CIBSE overheating criterion. Based on this criterion a better control strategy was evaluated for hybrid ventilation system.
