The work carried out in this book addresses the problems related to the improvement of the productivity and quality of energy produced by photovoltaic systems connected to the grid using NPC inverters. The work carried out in this book addresses the problems related to the improvement of the productivity and quality of energy produced by photovoltaic systems connected to the grid using NPC inverters. The contribution is manifested in the choice of the appropriate control technique for the control of the power injected into the electrical network. The first part was devoted to the exploration of grid-connected photovoltaic system structures. This part was followed by the development of the different techniques already proposed. In a second part, the operating principle of the conventional direct power control (DPC) was studied in detail. Following this study, a modified DPC strategy was developed. At this stage, three DPC algorithms are proposed, whose main objective is to control the variation of the common mode voltage (CMV) which can generate an undesirable leakage current. The numerical and experimental results obtained have been relevant in both static and dynamic regimes, thus respecting international standards.
