Autorenporträt
Ana Garriga is a scholar of early modern Spain and Latin America. She earned her PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2017 with a dissertation on Teresa of Ávila’s letters, for which she received the extraordinary PhD award. In 2014, she earned a prestigious Fulbright scholarship which allowed her to spend a semester at UC Berkeley as a visiting scholar. She joined the graduate program of Hispanic Studies at Brown University in 2016 supported by a Presidential Fellowship. She has published extensively in academic journals (Revista Hispánica Moderna, Bulletin of Hispanic Studies) and presented at conferences such as the Renaissance Society of America, American Comparative Literature Association, and others. While she was deciding where to attend graduate school, she met Carmen Urbita, with whom she launched the podcast Las hijas de Felipe in 2020.
