At the age of nine Yvette tried her hand at baking for the first time. Even though her parents and sister politely consumed raw cupcakes that day, without complaining, this was all the encouragement she needed to never look back. Not long after she started compiling her own recipe book consisting of all her favourite recipes from her mother, aunt and other family friends. She continued to build on these recipes over the next four decades until she was encouraged to publish them for everyone to celebrate the food she loves to cook for her friends and family. Having lived on three different continents for extended periods of time, contributed to her collection of tried and trusted recipes that will suit whatever type of cooking. She has continuously built her cooking skills with some formal training and continues to attend classes to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. Yvette loves recipes that are simple, warming and comforting with a passion for flavour in every bite.
