The text presents a qualitative case study regarding cooperation between a music school and its environment. The theoretical part is based on a study of scholarly literature pertaining to primary and secondary education. The empirical part focuses on music education, more precisely on cooperation of a selected music school with various participants: parents, the municipality as the co-founder, and cultural institutions. Case study examines the significance and forms of cooperation and the role the head teacher has in cooperation of the selected music school with its environment.
