In complex and interdependent environments where the individual is overwhelmed or is dependent on others to achieve goals, it is the team that takes up the baton. A new management approach is necessary for this context, allowing the organisation to confront potential risks and take advantage of opportunities and synergies. Confronting permanent change and uncertainty is something that organisations should do collectively from a team perspective with Distributed Leadership. Cooplexity presents a collaboration model in complexity that rigorously embraces three levels of working: individual, group and organisational. Ricardo's research is based on the behaviours observed in senior management teams interacting in Synergy, a training course structured around a behavioural simulation that sets participants' challenges in situations ranging from uncertainty to complexity. In this book, readers will find guidelines to facilitate the development of collaborative behaviours. Additionally, they will find a series of conclusions that challenge the classic concepts of teamwork and leadership as they have been understood to date.
