Dr. Damato spent more than 20 years leading a longitudinal study in the United Kingdom amongst the Ocular Melanoma patients, there. He brought his expertise as an ocular oncologist to UCSF where he trained other ocular oncologists in the work on ocular melanoma (OM) and its treatment.
