Dr. Cora Bragg Thompson has dedicated over 40 years to the field of education, fostering a passion for teaching and preparing future educators to be effective teachers with a strong emphasis on literacy. She holds a B.S.Ed in Elementary Education, a Master's degree, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Thompson has earned several endorsements, including Reading, Gifted, and Teacher Support, and is a Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewer.Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Thompson has served as a classroom teacher, ELA resource teacher, and differentiation specialist. She is currently an Associate Professor and the Dean for the College of Education at Savannah State University, herundergraduate alma mater.Dr. Thompson is the proud mother of three children and grandmother to Kiara, Savannah, and Ki'Loni, who all share her love for books. Inspired to write this book after the loss of her beloved pet, Angel, to kidney disease, Dr. Thompson aims to use this story as a tool to teach reading skills to young readers. Through her writing, she continues to share her dedication to education and literacy, ensuring that her passion touches the lives of many more children.
