A year has passed since Lord Kratt disappeared. The valley, although severely damaged in the fire, is recovering. The mytre of the valley are united as one clan and a new social order with shared leadership has been established. Cordelia meets a new mytre, Barry who is welcomed into the valley and the valley returns to a place of peace and harmony. But the peace is short-lived as Cordelia senses something evil is coming - again. Three catastrophic events threaten the new clan of the valley. A flood consumes the mytre's valley and Cordelia fights to save the small birds in danger of being washed away. This is followed by an invasion, led by a lace monitor called Silas, who brings an army of lizards into Cordelia's valley to destroy homes and occupy their land and trees. Thirdly, the valley is threatened by developers who seek to occupy the nearby eucalyptus forest and unwittingly destroy the habitat of the Glossy Black Cockatoos who live there. Cordelia and Barry, with the help of human conservationists, act with compassion, courage and love, to lead the valley clan in a protest and fight to save the forest, save their homes and find peace again.
