Importance of relations of a company with its shareholders has grown due to availability of global investment opportunity. Corporate competitiveness affects cost of the company. Significant role is played by corporate financial strategy in the betterment of market valuation. In the light of the contribution made by Indian textile industry in India's economy and in improving its global competitiveness, it becomes relevant to study corporate and financial strategies of the textile companies together with its impact on the performance. The objective of the present study is to examine corporate and the financial strategies adopted by the selected companies over the time period from 1998-99 to 2014-15. On the basis of the analysis, re-engineering financial strategies are suggested at Individual firm level and Punjab Industry level. As per the analysis conducted, EPS is found affect the market valuation of selected companies. Financial variables namely interest rate, working capital, personnel cost, debt/equity ratio, financial assets and capex are found to affect EPS of selected companies.
