Cynthia Shapiro, a former Human Resources V.P., left her position because she grew disillusioned with how most corporations are forced to do business today. She is now a well-known employee advocate and workplace consultant for Fortune 100 and 500 firms, regularly lecturing and writing on the most critical topics affecting employees today. She is the author of What Does Somebody Have to Do to Get A Job Around Here? and Corporate Confidential, and has been featured on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, ABC, PBS, in The Wall Street Journal, Fortune,  Glamour, Self, Details, Essence, Real Simple, and major newspapers across the U.S. She lives in Southern California.
