This book aims to give an account of Corporate Governance practices in public institutions and specifically in the West Central Metropolitan Area, according to the guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD, which highlights six perspectives that deal with a transparent, equitable, efficient and fair government from the dynamics of the public sector. In this way, the historical development of CG, the different theories that give rise to the model and the confrontation by means of interviews with officials of the institution regarding the concept of CG, evaluating its compliance according to the standards dictated by the international organization, but at the same time, carrying out a validation process with officials of the municipalities associated to AMCO, facilitating the generation of contributions and recommendations that will help this institution and other companies of the official sector, to manage their Corporate Governance with greatertransparency, efficiency and equity.
