The study adopted an ex-post facto research design. Census sampling was used to select 20 listed consumer goods firms on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, for a time period of 2012 to 2020.

Dr. Sunday Ojochenemi Yusufu is currently a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi State, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc degree in Business Administration, a MSc and a Ph.D in Management. His working experience spans through the banking industry and academics.
