Corporations have usually been considered as profit-maximizing and self-centered entities establishing the central doctrines of capitalism and free market philosophies. It differs from place to place, industry to industry and over time. Governments, non-governmental agencies and the public exercise pressure on companies to demonstrate their ability to improve corporate operations both socially and environmentally. Corporate have their core function or main target of earning profits. A company is considered an entity distinct from its members, therefore it is an artificial person in eyes of Law and like a distinct person, a corporate or company is also expected to fulfill its social obligations.
