A corporate university essentially can be designed to focus organizational resources in strategically developing human capital and is clearly linked to the strategic objectives of organizations for enhancing competitive advantage. Not all big companies have a corporate university, but some of them are considered as great corporations because of having a special venue for a range of premier training and development programs like a corporate university. This book provides some theoretical and empirical contributions which enrich academic literatures focusing on corporate universities. The examples written here are based on case studies in General Electric Company and Intel Corporation.
