Mike is a retired Marine Corps officer, teacher and author of five previous books. He has written this book for his eight grandchildren who are now embarking on their own spiritual journeys. Mike is a lifelong surfer. In his words, "Life is like surfing. You never look back and always look forward to the next challenging wave." Just like surfing a wave, our faith gives us the courage to move forward, make spiritual progress and persevere against all life throws at us.
