The Ourika catchment area has experienced a number of appalling floods, particularly the one in 1995, which was the most devastating in both human and material terms. To alleviate the impact of these floods, various erosion control techniques have been implemented in the Ourika catchment to reduce the problems associated with erosion. One of the anti-erosion techniques is the installation of sills in the ravines of the Ourika catchment area. These structures have never been evaluated since they were installed. The aim of this study is to assess the current state of the mechanical correction works carried out on the left bank of the Oued Ourika, in order to propose restoration and rehabilitation measures. Secondly, it aims to identify the ravines that present a danger and that require intervention according to the opinion of the population.
