Prerequisites for gaining the most from this book are an engineering course in electrochemistry and corrosion engineering. In addition, the sequence of chapters is in a way that in the first chapters, we review more basic principles like galvanic corrosion and stress corrosion cracking while at the end of the book, more complex concepts are discussed. The references for the lectures at the first of each chapter are mainly based on the common references and handbooks in electrochemistry and corrosion engineering references. However, in some cases, some other references may have been used that are noted at the end of each chapter. Each chapter of the book was dedicated to one of the top students of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Sharif University of Technology to edit and enhance the quality of the initial draft. The name of each person is written on the first of each chapter. I need to thank all these students and express my gratitude for their efforts. Without them, this book was nowhere near as fine as its final version. The team of writers enjoyed the journey of writing this book, we hope that the audience enjoys reading and doing the experiments.
