The book entitled "Cost-Benefit Analysis of Milk Supply Chain in Ranchi, Jharkhand" aims to explain the cost of milk production and returns in the study area, to study the marketed surplus and examine the factors affecting it, to analyse the marketing efficiency of different milk marketing channels operating in the traditional supply chain. After collection of data from the area and its analysis shows that net return per litre of milk from buffaloes as well as cross bred was found to be positive for all the categories of households keeping animals (small, medium, large). but net return per litre of milk in local cow was found to be negative for small and medium category households but more loss was incurred by medium households. Although the returns were positive for large households but was really low and insignificant.
