The issues of creating an effective vertical cleaner based on the methods of research and modeling of cotton movement in the cleaning section of the cotton cleaner from fine sap with vertically and in parallel arranged sequentially moving stake-plank drums are considered. It is revealed that due to the increase of the angle of the working zone girth by the mesh surface the number of stakes participating in the process of cotton cleaning is increased, due to the increase of the cleaning effect the natural qualitative indicators of the processed cotton raw material are protected. An energy and resource-saving vertical cotton cleaner from fine trash, which has passed laboratory and production tests, has been created.
