This book discusses key issues in counselling services that need to be addressed. These are: personal, social, educational, spiritual, career, vocational, peer counselling and orientational guidance. The author investigates the effectiveness of counselling services in universities as a prerequisite tool for shaping learners' social and individual development towards the successful implementation of programmes in Kenyan universities. Janet endeavoured to find out whether counselling services in universities were effective. Data was collected from students and administrators from Baraton University, Kenya, and analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. The book is a blueprint that is resourceful to curriculum developers, educators, counsellors, parents and the society as a whole.
