O autor, Vyacheslav Rodionov, nasceu em Baku, Azerbaijão. Desde jovem interessou-se pela história, e continuou a estudá-la profissionalmente, tendo entrado e licenciado com distinção nos cursos de Bacharelato e Mestrado da Faculdade de História da Universidade Estatal de Baku. Escreve artigos e está interessado nas relações internacionais.
