The youngest daughter of a minister and a nurse, Dr. Kimberly Mack has always looked for opportunities to serve. She considers herself to be a Purpose-Driven Educator. With the belief the education is the great equalizer, Dr. Mack has worked tirelessly in public education for over 25 years to empower the next generation to pursue the passion God has placed in their lives.Upon graduating from Miami University with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Writing and a Master's degree in Teaching, Dr. Mack wanted to use her abilities to help children. She returned to college to pursue a Master's degree in Education and administrative certification at the University of Cincinnati. She also holds credentials through the University of Virginia and Xavier University. In 2016, she earned a Doctorate of Education degree in Urban Education Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.She began her education career teaching junior high and high school English at Hamilton City Schools. She joined Cincinnati Public Schools in 2001 as an assistant principal, serving at Oyler School, John P. Parker School and the Academy of World Languages. She has also served CPS as a principal coach. Under her leadership, John P. Parker School's innovative approach to educating children has been featured in many news media outlets, including an NBC Today Show's Education Nation segment, which highlighted Parker's innovative programming related to community engagement in tutoring efforts to promote the nurturing of children from cradle-to-career.Dr. Mack has received many accolades for her work with children. She was honored as a finalist for the Dr. Lawrence C. Hawkins Educator of the Year Award, awarded the Butler County YWCA Outstanding Woman of Achievement Award, and received proclamations from local governments for her work with children and families.
