The curriculum is a very important document which details how learning and teaching is to be done. This curriculum review is an analysis of a Spanish course curriculum document from the University of Guyana. The aim of this report is to highlight those specific areas that are deficient in the current course curriculum, analyse and revise them, and make recommendations for improvements. Information about the University, along with its Aim, Mission, Vision, Value, and Goal Statements, are presented. Then, a discussion ensues on curriculum planning, design, and development, paying specific attention to what curriculum entails. An analysis of the course curriculum is conducted, and both the positives and the negatives are highlighted. Subsequently, recommendations are made for changes to the course curriculum and conclusions are drawn. Further, the old and new Spanish course curricula, rubrics for all the various assessment tasks and activities, and a constructively-aligned lesson are all presented as an appendix. The intention is that this new curriculum be used to revolutionise instruction at the University of Guyana and at those Universities where pedagogy is (still) deficient.
