COVID-19 is a viral contagious illness with a direction towards the respiratory system. The contagion is diffused via respiratory droplets. Transmission of droplets happens when someone is in close contact with somebody who has the symptoms. The incubation period, which is the period from exposure time to the appearance of symptoms, is about 2-14 days. The period of incubation determines the duration of the quarantine period for those who are in contact with the patients. COVID-19 is the new out-breaking disease, characterized by pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), with sepsis and eventually multi-organ failure.
