E. W. Finke writes from knowledge acquired during almost thirty-five years of experience with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, including work with Native American nations. He later trained and worked briefly as a mediator and facilitator specializing in environmental matters. He has now turned that experience to writing environmental crime fiction.Coyote's Wail is his second novel. The Sweet Bounty is his first. Both are set on the Canadian island of Newfoundland, a fascinating place he fell in love with during his first visit in 2001, and a place he has returned to many times since.He makes his home in Bellingham, Washington, with his wife, Nadine, his dog, Buster, and his cat, Turmeric. He enjoys spending as much time outdoors as he possibly can.
