Author Dee Dine is the recipe creator and photographer behind Green Smoothie Gourmet, a popular healthy plant-based blog where she shares vegan recipes - often desserts and snacks - that are nutritious, easy to prepare, and typically require single-digit familiar ingredients. Dee's accessible recipes are praised by a large social media following, including everyone from college students to busy families. Her awareness of the value of eating healthy plant-based food began in college, after failing an organic chemistry exam because of her poor collegiate diet. She purchased a second-hand blender, began making smoothies, expanded from there. Now, her food blog has a huge following that is growing. Dee is also an editor with FeedFeed, the prestigious cooking publication, and has been published by Buzzfeed, Mind Body Green, Well & Good, Marie Claire, and her healthy easy recipes have been shared by countless publications and brands on social media. She may have a graduate degree in the sciences, but husband and friends say her greatest talent is hiding vegetables in desserts.
