While most were in quarantine during COVID-19, healthcare workers increased their work during that time and infectious diseases doctors, in particular, thrived. Dr. Arnold's children were called home from college, but he left early in the morning and stayed out until late in the evening. What did he do all day? This book recounts just that. Part of infection doctors' training includes pandemics, but Dr. Arnold found himself not only tending to patients, but with his colleagues, making 3D printed swabs, being the first to perform COVID-19 tests in Louisville and arranging for his university hospital to provide novel treatments. Some people were supporters and others were deterrents in figuring out what to do. The stress caused a few of his colleagues to quit, but what kept him going? It was his faith as a Christian, or rather, God's hand on him. To his surprise, and the readers' delight, God sustained Dr. Arnold and helped him contribute to the new knowledge necessary to conquer COVID-19. Inspired from Ephesians 2:10 when Paul wrote, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand,..." this book reveals how the pandemic was embraced, care was provided and problems were solved from an inside perspective.
