The present investigation has been undertaken with a hope that its findings would attract the attention of educators and parents to the growing importance of creativity and its educational implications. The study conducted with the aims to study the difference in creative performance- of higher secondary/Inter college students in two different cities of two states of this country. The environment of both the cities differ to a considerable extent in teaching method, school activities and traditions of living. It will be of much theoretical and practical importance to understand as to how these variables effect, creativity in school children. With a view to have full understanding of the problem, the cultural differences as they operate on education have been studied form its various aspects. Relationship of creativity with academic achievement and sex has been determined and compared. It is hoped that the findings would enlighten the teachers and parents to better understand the effects that educational culture can impose upon children's creativity.
