I was raised in the Humboldt Park area of Chicago. My mother, born and raised in Mexico and my father from Laredo Texas had divorced when i was young. My mother remarried and my father eventually went back to Texas & never remarried. I remember always loving to read and write. My first novel was "it" by Stephen King when i was in grade school reading at a 2 year level above my own. I read it in 3 days and was hooked. I read every King book and Anne Rice book I could get my hands on and devoured the stories and let my imagination run free. These stories fuled my soul and led me to places of impossible fancy. Words were an outlet to express my feelings and give flight to the inner writer in me. Motherhood came early for me in life. A senior in HS and married at 17, my baby boy arrived sooner than expected and worried us for the 1st 5 years of his life with health issues. Divorce was inevitable and that after a while I remarried. My 2nd husband inspired me to write and to finish this story that was in me since a young age. The marriage also ended, but it, along with countless events and obstacles have shaped who i am, and who i will grow and evolve to be. My son, now a man continues to be my #1, he along with my pups Tenchi, Bear and Taco (yes that is her real name) are my reason for striving to live my dream and make a better life for them. So with the love and support of many family, friends and acquaintances near and far, I share this story with everyone that has a passion for words and even those who are holding out for the audio copy and possibly one day movie.
