Apostle Mark E. Excel received the Lord at the age of five. At this age, he used to gather people and share divine mysteries about the kingdom of God, and many, young and old, were drawn to him to hear his Word. He declared to his father's wives and children that he was not from them but from a mysterious abode known as Abasi-to. Subsequently, he became known by this name, and to this day, he is still called Abasi-to by his family. He was separated from his father for three years (1967 and 1970) due to the civil war in Nigeria. During this time, he went through great adversity and became a beggar, a period that he regards as part of his ministry training. He met his father briefly after the war in 1970, before he went to be with the Lord in 1973. The mighty hand of God has been upon him from his mother's womb. He was saved to serve and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He died and was taken to hell and heaven by the Lord. He was commanded, "Go, and tell the world what you have seen." He is married to Pastor Ann Excel, and they are blessed with six children and a grandchild. Residing in New York, they continue to inspire generations with their faith and dedication. He and his wife lead Voice of Freedom International Ministries, Inc., and Voice of Freedom School of Ministry, where they passionately teach and train ministers and church workers. Apostle Excel holds a doctorate degree in theology. Called and commissioned by the Lord, he breaks new ground and plants churches. His focus is on missions, global evangelism, revival, and deliverance. He and his wife co-hosts Moment of Freedom, a regular TV program.
