This book focuses on a critical review of the Psychology Curriculum followed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, in India. The analysis of Psychology curriculum is done at three different levels. At one level the author has tried to understand the evolution of Psychology as a discipline from the perspective of paradigms of research. At another level this book discussed the perspective of the curriculum makers who select and organize the subject matter of Psychology for the first time learners of the discipline. The author has also interviewed key academicians who were keenly engaged in curriculum formulation and textbook writing to understand their world view and thoughts on the present curriculum of Psychology. At the third level this book delves deeper into the classroom dynamics to understand how the planned curriculum attains life when transacted by a teacher in her class. At this level the book tries to see the textbook from the eyes of the class teacher as well as her learners.
