There has been a rapid accumulation of new scholarship on colonial Korea in particular and comparative colonialism in general within the last ten years. This volume gathers these articles from a variety of venues to allow researchers, students, and readers to access the most important scholarship on colonial Korea published in English. This will be useful to researchers of modern Korea and modern Japan, as well as serving a resource of courses that cover Korean history, Japanese history, and history of colonialism. As one of the few cases of non-Western colonialism, the volume will also be invaluable for researchers interested in expanding their knowledge of comparative colonialism.
