The monograph considers the pedagogical aspects of the implementation of the protective function of critical thinking as a means of ensuring information and psychological safety of the individual on the example of university students in the study of social and humanitarian disciplines. The first chapter defines the basic concepts, reveals the problems of research of critical thinking in the context of information and psychological security of a personality and develops a model of formation of critical thinking of students as a means of protection against negative information influences. The second chapter substantiates an innovative method of implementing pedagogical conditions for this process and presents the results of experimental research to form critical thinking of students based on this method.
