The author makes a critical reflection around modernity. He approaches the idea of progress as it is seen in modernity with man as the epicenter of his investigations. He brings out the achievements and achievements of modernity and, detecting symptoms of crisis, looks for ways to reconstitute the Subject. In Hannah Arendt, she presents the rutpura between tradition and modernity, the loss of the values that tradition has bequeathed, leading to a holocaust and proposing a new beginning for the future. In Gianni Vattimo, he discusses the crisis of modernity that denounces the crisis of humanism, falling into nihilism and proposes postmodernity as a chance to create the new ideal of man. From the contribution of the two authors, he seeks to explain the situation of man today, living with the proliferation of autocratic/totalitarian regimes and growing secularization, without returning to the past as such, but bringing out the values that have been overshadowed by modernity, where the hope for the future lies.
