Ron Wilkins boasts an extensive background in Pan-African & African-Internationalist organizing, progressive radio broadcasting, and photojournalism. Notably, he headed the Los Angeles Community Alert Patrol in 1966 and served in prominent positions with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and the Patrice Lumumba Coalition. Ron traveled extensively, documenting significant progressive historical events. An adjunct professor on several Southern California campuses, he specializes in highlighting the rich yet widely unknown history of Black & Mexican solidarity.
