Quietly weird M/M author Darcy Archer loves Hallmark mysteries, amateur dramatics, and old sword-and-sandal movies--the bulgier the better. After a friendly divorce and a long overdue job change, she moved back to the woods of northern California to get away from the grind. She cohabitates with a couple of bossy, opinionated rescue cats who now supervise her writing career. A proud stage craft junkie with a theater degree from UC Santa Cruz, Darcy participates backstage in local community theaters as a stage manager and occasional director, which means she consumes way more coffee than salad. She watches football for the butt-cams and K-dramas for the sighs. Other obsessions include mushrooming, vintage bodice rippers, and positive activism, including nine years volunteering with PFLAG and the Trevor Project. Somehow Darcy's two grown sons managed to reach their twenties safely and headed off to conquer the world, quadrupling her writing time. She works remotely in customer support, surrounded by nature and a mellow community, which keeps her cats happy, her garden green, and her characters steamy. When not writing, she can usually be found binge reading, running a rehearsal, or out back growing way too many tomatoes.
