CRYSTALS MEAN POWERCRYSTAL BLOOD MEANS DEATH "Stop toying with me. We can never be together, and this, whatever this is, is too painful. It has to stop before we hurt each other anymore." Within the island kingdom of the Starlight Order, Princess Sorsha must protect her life's blood at all costs, for when shed, her blood produces magical Blood Crystals. If knowledge of her existence escapes, there are those that would covet her blood and even kill her for the Crystals she would shed, including the Emperor Taliesin of Merribor. Sorsha is about to be Pledged to an unknown Prince of the Celestial Isles, when she is sent with Prince Etienne of the Sun Order to find out why the isle of the neighbouring Moon Order has fallen silent. Etienne is also to be Pledged, to one of the Seven Starlight Princesses of Sorsha's home island, but despite this, the two grow close. Discovering Taliesin is raiding the Celestial Isles for their artworks, and consequently their Blood Crystals, Sorsha and Etienne set out to stop him. Even as Sorsha struggles to keep her secret safe, their forbidden love grows, and when Etienne reveals his own secrets, he changes their relationship forever. They attempt to outwit Taliesin, but can they thwart his plans before he can use their blood, and their Blood Crystals, to conquer the world? Or will they die trying?
