The social responsibility of the business has developed into a highly debated issue in recent years especially when it comes to agribusiness, environmental and economic challenges have put internal and external pressures on firms from a wide angle. Not only that CSR program encourage the company to make a positive impact in the environment and stake holders including consumers, employees, investors and community among others. It has also been a subject of debate for academicians and common practitioners who consider it as a tool to reduce poverty and encourage sustainable development in third world countries. Looking deeply into this aspect, foreign as well as domestic firms particularly in agribusiness are strongly encouraged by the government to be more economic, social and environmentally responsible. As developing sustainable agriculture requires an exchange of knowledge and experience among business, government and civil societal organizations, therefore, this book is an attempt to highlight the developmental issues and corporate social responsibility problems faced by agribusiness firms in Ethiopia and also the role of government in implementing codes and responsible practice
