The teaching-learning process of natural sciences in the eighth years of General Basic Education includes the study of energy, a subject that, due to its nature, is considered unmotivating and tedious for students, especially when traditional methodologies are still used in the classroom, such as the teacher's lecture, without the application of resources or tools that motivate and generate significant learning on the subject. Taking into account that the advance of technology and its insertion in current educational processes, provide tools that motivate and facilitate learning, this research work proposes the use of the Multimedia Tool Cuadernia, to strengthen the learning of energy in the subject of Natural Sciences of eighth grade students of General Basic Education parallel "B" of the Educational Unit "Prof. Julio Ordoñez Espinoza, in the school "Prof. Julio Ordoñez Espinoza". Julio Ordoñez Espinoza" of the city of Loja, period 2014 - 2015, for which the general objective isto apply the multimedia tool Cuadernia to strengthen learning about energy.
