A native of Miami, Florida, Fred was raised surrounded by Latin America culture, though not a part of it. He lived in Miami until attending college at Franklin College Switzerland in Lugano, Switzerland, which allowed him to travel. He met his wife in Lugano, and now works and resides with her in the New York City area.
