Cuban-American Talek Nantes is an author, digital content creator, and founder of the travel blog, www.travelswithtalek.com. Half of her family came from Cuba in the early 1950s and the other half came a decade later. She has always harbored a passion for her heritage and all things Cuban. Talek's work has appeared in numerous publications including Atlas Obscura, Audley Travel, Matador Network, Go World Travel, Nomadic Matt, and Reader's Digest. An avid traveler, Talek's personal and professional background have led her to visit over 110 countries. She has lived and worked throughout the world and speaks several languages. Talek has an MBA as well as a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives with her husband in New York City and Miami.
