Autorenporträt
I have always enjoyed writing and drawing. I have found so much joy and self -expression through art. I used to make my own greeting cards and share them with the people I love. Animals, the outdoors, boating are just a few of the things that are very special to me. I am spiritual but not religious. I am patriotic and love my country, but I am not political. I studied Taekwondo for a mind, body and soul experience and enjoy nature. I have raised 3 children in a blended family. I live with my 13-year-old daughter Katie and my little dog, Rex in the suburbs outside Chicago, Illinois. I have 2 grandchildren Faith 14 and August age 13. Sabrina Saalman my oldest daughter and all my family resides in Ohio in my hometown, Fostoria. I am a Girl scout, cheer, baseball and volleyball mom! I love god and my church, without the lord Jesus Christ none of my talents would flourish.I wrote and illustrated Freddy The Frog and Cuddy Duddy The Big Fat Black Cat over 20 years ago. I was a young single mom spending nights alone while my daughter slept. I would write and draw to pass the time and one night the stories just poured out of me. All those years ago we just didn't have the technology to share my stories, so they sat in box. Last year I felt so compelled to publish my books I got to work, I wrote a third story and then a fourth story. I set my goal to publish within two years. Every Tues and Thurs I would work on getting published writing query letters to literally agents, and publishers. Fast forward to Easter of 2023 and while driving the 5-hour trip back from my family, I received a call from a query sent out the year before. This was the beginning. Now, I am publishing! You are never too old, when the time is right, and you put in your best-efforts thing will fall into place. Dreams can come true, and anything is possible when you set goals and execute a plan, You will never fail unless you don't try! Have faith, believe in yourself and hold yourself to the highest standards, you're important in this world!!! Be the change, make a difference and never ever give up!
