Eva Ibarzábal has a BA in Modern Languages and a Master’s Degree in Translation. She worked as a news producer for a local TV network and as a freelance medical translator until her passion for Literature made her switch her path to translating fiction, biographies, graphic novels and children’s books. She has been recognized two years in a row by the International Latino Book Awards for the Spanish translation of The Beloved World of Sonia Sotomayor and Vice President Kamala Harris' memoir The Truths We Hold: An American Journey, for which she was awarded the Gold Medal in 2021. Eva lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico.   Eva Ibarzábal estudió una licenciatura en Lenguas Modernas y una Maestría en Traducción. Trabajó como productora de programas noticiosos para una cadena de televisión local y como traductora independiente especializada en medicina hasta que su pasión por la literatura la llevó a traducir ficción, biografías, novelas gráficas y libros infantiles. Por dos años consecutivos ha recibido el reconocimiento de International Latino Book Awards por la traducción al español de El mundo adorado de Sonia Sotomayor y las memorias de la vicepresidenta Kamala Harris Las verdades que sostenemos: Una trayectoria por los Estados Unidos, por la que recibió la Medalla de Oro en 2021. Eva vive en San Juan, Puerto Rico.
