Ms. Lumumba's interest in cooking began at an early age. She learned cooking from many family members including aunts, uncles and siblings as well as neighbors. Ms. Lumumba was an integral part of the Cuisine On The Nile Restaurant where she had the opportunity to cook food on a large scale. As she developed her vegetarian style of cooking soul food, others took notice of her talents. She began to cook at events all over the United States. Ms. Lumumba boasts of having four expert tasters in her children and food lovers for grandchildren. Mr. Chinyelu K. Lumumba has been a long time aid and partner in her kitchen exploits.
