Just like the roots of a tree, cultures have roots which are manifested in the form of Culture-Bound Elements. It is the interpreter's task as a gardener to provide the required conditions contributing to the growth of the Culture Tree. This is particularly possible through adopting different ways. However, when dealing with CBEs in other cultures, the differences appear to be more tangible and thus lead to erecting barriers for the target-culture audiences. What are the ways to hurdle the various obstacles in such a case? Is it possible to plant a tree full of blossoms under whose shade the cultural travelers desire to sit? or do the interpreters simply jump out of the frying pan and into the fire? Is coping with culture-bound items regarded as a utopia or is it a realistic objective? This book is designed to observe the strategies applied for rendering different types of CBEs by conference interpreters through a descriptive analysis. It also presents inspirational ideas of scholars on interpretation, translation and culture for the readers. Yet, abundant attempts are being made throughout the world to pave the endless road of interpreting studies from the cultural perspectives.
