Hugo Metcalfe is a Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Culture Change Specialist and Co-Founder of the wellbeing consultancy The Happy Mind Tribe. He has designed and delivered evidence-based training programmes and workshops to meet unique organisational needs around the globe. In his pursuit of greater awareness, he felt it prudent to study every type of Psychology going, from Forensic, to Clinical and Occupational Psychology and, more recently, Psychotherapy. He subsequently combined this with over 20 years' experience in the field of mental health and wellbeing, in the UK's National Health Service and private sector. This work has provided him evidence-based insight into 'what works' when it comes to intervention and support at an individual and organisational level. Over the years Hugo has delivered training, consultancy and research projects to a diverse range of organisations, including Disney, Viacom, Bentley, GSK, the Council of Europe, the UK's Home Office and the British Military. He believes that knowledge is for sharing and he shares his expertise in key areas such as resilience, leadership, stress management, psychological safety, psychological contracts and communication, to create actionable strategies to support organisations to cultivate workplace cultures that work. A multiple world-record holder and expedition guide, Hugo spends his free time putting his own resilience to the test by leading expeditions around the world.
