Carol D. Lee is Professor of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She received the 2021 AERA Distinguished Contributions to Research in Education Award, the 2021 Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education for Learning Science Research, the 2021 NCTE James R. Squire Award.
