Derek lives in Vancouver, Canada with his wife Patricia, two daughters, Isabela & Sofia, and dog, Lima. The tale of Dun-Dee was inspired by Derek's family travels to Africa, including the Serengeti, Okavango Delta, and Kalahari Desert. Dun-Dee is inspired by Derek's curious and adventurous daughters. Lila is inspired by the lilac-breasted roller, in all its unique beauty and charm. Derek enjoys collaborating to build exceptional partnerships and enriching stories we can all be proud of.
